Responsible Assignment to Key Result

You can assign responsibilities while creating key result, or you can assign responsibilities after creating them. To do this, you first need to click on the objectives window.

Afterwards, you should click on the icon at the beginning of the key result row for which you want to assign. You will be presented with this window. All you have to do is select the person you want to assign and click the "Assign" button. The key result you assign will now be displayed in the "key result" tab of the relevant person.

An information message will be sent to the person responsible for the key result, and the assigned key result will be included in the individual key result on the home page. In this way, the user will be able to check in and lead the key result. If you do not want key result to be assigned to users, you can turn off this feature in the cycle settings.

Why is there an assignment of key result? In what situations can I use it?

If you use a scoring system for your company objective and you also focus on individual objective in this scoring system, the assigned key result will not have an impact on the total score of the assigned user.

However, if you do not use a scoring system or if you use the scoring system only at the level of team goals and see it as a tool to manage objectives with the OKR philosophy and implement the strategy, then assigning key result will be a very valuable feature. Especially in the OKR philosophy, which focuses on team objectives rather than individual objectives, there will be a need to assign individuals the key result of the group objectives for which they are responsible and or will lead.

In short, the purpose for which you want to use your objectives depends entirely on your institution. Which of the following do you want to do?

Measuring individual performance and connecting it to the bonus system and talent management, if necessary

Implementing the strategy, creating a high performance culture, breaking silos between teams, aligning and acting together in the same direction
